Working within the integration team, you will define integration architecture, lead migration and API modernisation initiatives, and help embed modern engineering practices across a complex technology estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise integration solutions aligned to architectural standards.
- Lead migration from legacy middleware and integration platforms to strategic target solutions.
- Define API specifications, integration patterns, and service contracts.
- Support the transition from SOAP-based services to modern RESTful APIs.
- Promote API-first and domain-driven design approaches.
- Drive integration standardisation, simplification, and reuse.
- Embed best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, quality engineering, and automation.
- Contribute to architecture governance, technical assurance, and design reviews.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior Integration Architect, Solution Architect, or similar role within large transformation programmes.
- Strong expertise in enterprise integration architecture and API-led design.
- Experience designing REST APIs and working with OpenAPI specifications.
- Knowledge of integration patterns, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management platforms, SAP PI/PO, or comparable technologies.
- Experience leading integration migration or modernisation programmes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Experience:
- SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- Legacy middleware migration projects.
- CI/CD and automated testing within integration environments.
- Observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices.
- AI-assisted engineering and delivery approaches.
